We selected for you the best places to visit in Champagne, from the biggest houses, such as Moet et Chandon, Veuve Clicquot or Pommery (depending on availabilities) to a boutique winery, so you can see different vision, understand well the champagne process making.
You will also discover the uniqueness of this region that combine climate and the expertise of the winemakers to produce the world’s most celebrated sparkling wine!
From transportation to visits and lunch, your English speaking and wine expert guide will take care of everything, while you relax and enjoy the the drive through the beautiful vineyards.
The program of the day in Champagne:
We will pick you up at your hotel or apartment at 7:30 am before driving to Champagne (about 1h45).
As soon as you arrive in the vineyards, you will be struck by the beauty of the landscape.
Your day will start in style, with a guided tour through the cellars of one of the most renowned worldwide champagne brands such as Champagne Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot… Learn about their unique history and production, tasting their flagship cuvee with the house sommelier.
Following a short drive, discover the village of Hautvillers and its abbey, where Dom Pérignon used to work as a cellar master over 300 years ago and made Champagne.
Learn more about this legendary character and about his influence on the style and reputation of the drink.
We will then stop by a viewpoint of the wonderful vineyard of Champagne and enjoy a “wild tasting” before to stop for lunch at the restaurant overlooking the champagne region (lunch meal not included).
After lunch, you will discover a family owned vineyard and make the visit from the vines to the flute to understand the whole making process.
The last stop will be at a cooperative winery where you will see all the tools used to produce Champagne… By the end of the day, you are guaranteed to be a bubbles expert! Of course, you will taste several Champagnes there.
Your guide will bring you back to Paris and drop you off by your hotel at around 7PM (depending on traffic).
