Whether you have been to Normandy before or not, this excursion is a wonderful mix of nature, history and art on the impressionism footstep of Claude Monet.

This 6h tour is just the best way to experience the Norman countryside and its typical little villages that inspired Monet.

Firstly your driver will pick you up at your hotel or place of choice in Paris. After that you will start your private drive to Giverny.

The ride takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes from the center of Paris.

Before to arrive in Normandy, we will drive through the Vexin field that inspired the painter and pass by Monet’s first house in Vetheuil’s village.

The village of Giverny is a small typical french village considered as one of the most beautiful villages in France.

A visit to the town is not only recommended to visit Claude Monet’s house and garden, but also to get a real feeling of a traditional french village.

When Claude Monet designed his garden he aimed to build a beautiful garden full of colours, flowers and oriental design. The gardens are divided in two parts, which are very different but at the same time complement each other. There is a flower garden called Clos Normand in front of the house and a Japanese inspired water garden on the other side of the road. Here is where Claude Monet had found his greatest source of inspiration. His paintings are well-known for their landscapes and reflections of water.

This private tour includes tickets to Monet’s garden and house. Once you finish the Giverny visit, we will drive by the Historical Vernon city center that include the ruined Tourelles Castle and half-timbered Old Mill House on the Seine River.

At the end of your tour your driver will bring you back to your hotel or place of choice in Paris.
